26 is Fe — iron, and the element at the heart of what we’re looking for.
Since 2020, we’ve been searching for iron meteorites: hunting, digging, identifying, and occasionally getting far too excited about rocks.

What are we looking for?
A rock that doesn’t belong.
Too heavy for its size. Pulled by a magnet. Dark, scorched, dimpled by its fall through the atmosphere and sunbathing for thousands of years.
In a desert of red stones, it’s the one that came from somewhere else.
